A drug crackdown in Camden has ramped up since the PCP-related slayings of two children in the last month.

Police tell The Philadelphia Inquirer that they have arrested more than 50 people on drug charges in the North Camden neighborhood in the past week. Thirty-three people were arrested at one drug-selling operation, police say.

Police say they have given $500 awards to two tipsters who gave details that led to arrests of people selling PCP or PCP-laced marijuana.

Authorities believe the man accused of killing of a 6-year-old boy on Sept. 2 was high on "wet," or PCP laced with marijuana.

A woman who decapitated her 2-year-old son then killed herself last month is also believed to have been on the drug.
