Pressure was on at New Jersey colleges, back when Bon Jovi launched a nationwide contest to crash a graduation this spring.  The winner just had to be in their home state, or else what have we been teaching our NJ students?!

The class of 2017 at Fairleigh Dickinson University truly rose to the challenge. On Tuesday morning, MTVU announced the winner on Twitter, noting "Fairleigh Dickinson rocked the #JBJReunionContest."

Happy FDU grads (and their grandmas!) in the crowd at MetLife Stadium also tweeted clips of Bon Jovi's acoustic performance. The band also shared a locker room photo on Instagram.

A few days earlier in south Jersey, Rowan University grads had been hoping for their own Bon Jovi serenade.

Of course, the Rutgers University Camden campus still holds big Bon Jovi bragging rights. Jon Bon Jovi debuted the song 'Reunion' at their graduation, two years ago.
