I'm teaming up with my friends over at Affordable Energy for New Jersey to bring you the truth and the facts about New Jersey's energy.

You probably didn't know this, but right now the governor Phil Murphy wants to actually retrofit two million homes and more than 350,000 apartments across the Garden State to fit into his new energy plan.

The cost? It could be as high as $65 billion. This is not anything that anyone in New Jersey should embrace and you can bet that Affordable Energy for New Jersey is going to be out there fighting it every step of the way.

Did you know that the governor actually thinks it's a good idea for us to bring in energy from other states along with their wind power? How does that create jobs in New Jersey?

Let me tell you what's going to happen if the governor gets away with this plan: you're going to see your energy costs go up. The fact is that 75% of New Jersey homes already use clean, safe, affordable, natural gas energy.

What we need to do is improve and update that infrastructure. As a matter of fact, New Jersey's carbon emissions are among the lowest in the country. So the reality is that we have already solved this problem in New Jersey.

What the governor is trying to do is politicize the energy issue and it will ultimately lead to an increase in your heating and electricity bill. Affordable Energy for New Jersey is here to make sure that doesn't happen. We already have clean, affordable energy: it's called natural gas and nuclear and we need to keep it going.
