Point Pleasant Boardwalk

Playing hooky is different than planning a day trip. It’s more spur of the moment. You have the element of danger since you don’t want to get caught. You also want to find something that will make it worth the price of taking off in the first place.

Personally, if I’m taking a day off because of the weather, I want to be outside. My first choice is the shore. I’m heading down to the boardwalk because I know that even if it’s closed, some of those places will be open. I want to walk the boards, eat sausage and peppers, and look at the ocean. There’s nothing like a nice walk on the beach with your feet in the ocean on a day like today. But be mindful of calling in sick and showing up the next day with a burn or tan.

One great advantage you have playing hooky is that you won’t deal with a lot off crowds since everyone else is working. Maybe you could take in a movie, hit the mall, or just stay home and relax. What are your favorite places to play hooky? Please leave a comment and share…..
