ATLANTIC CITY — Seven people were injured when a police ATV rear-ended another on the boardwalk and collided with a tramcar Saturday afternoon.
Video shows the ATVs coming off Brighton Avenue next to the Tropicana, hitting two pedestrians and a parked tramcar. Both ATVs wound up standing straight up as the officer driving the second machine fell backwards. The video makes a quick cut to EMTs on scene as it ends.

Police Tourism District officers patrols in spring, summer & fall
Atlantic City police said seven people were injured in the crash about 1:40 p.m.
All the injured individuals were treated at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center
Officers assigned to the department's Tourism District Unit use ATVs, bicycles and traditional vehicles to patrol the boardwalk and beach in the spring, summer and early fall between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. A roster of 20 officers expands to 32 during July and August.
