A Super Bowl party staple — Kylie’s can’t-miss chicken wing recipe
"The wings were great, my boys loved them!"- Steve Trevelise
"Kylie reheated them for me to try today, and they are incredible a day later. That's a good wing right there."- Joe V.
"Oh, you made these..? Huh."- Bill Doyle
We're coming up on Super Bowl Sunday which, for non-football enthusiasts like myself, is basically just a day for extreme snacking. What would a day of snacking be without some buffalo wings? Lame, that's what.
So here's my tried and true recipe for chicken wings, enjoy!
This recipe makes 12 lbs of wings, so adjust the recipe according to how big your party is. Or, you know, you can just wing it (I'm so sorry, I had to).
You will need:
- Four 3lb bags of chicken wings
- One bottle of Frank's hot sauce
- 1/2 a stick of butter
- Two cloves of garlic
- One gallon of vegetable oil
- Lots of patience
Steps:
Fry the chicken in boiling oil for 20-25 minutes or until they've reached your desired crispiness.
Meanwhile, combine the hot sauce, butter, and garlic in a bowl. Microwave until butter melts, then stir.
Once the wings are properly crisp, place them on a tray with a paper towel, this will help soak up the extra oil.
Finally, dip the wings in the sauce until fully covered. Serve with celery sticks and bleu cheese dressing. Enjoy!
