The Voice: NJ's Autumn battles, Ringo is coming

On 'The Voice', another Jersey Girl is through to the next round! Montclair resident Autumn Turner and Vanessa Ferguson battled on a classic, "Killing Me Softly." (The NJ-rooted Fugees won a Grammy for their 90's cover of it). Spoiler: Autumn was double-stolen, from team Gwen to Team Adam.

Ringo Starr is bringing his All-Starr band to NJ this fall. Shows are set for November in Morristown & Newark. Starr has been working on his 19th solo album, featuring riffs from both Paul McCartney and Montclair native, Joe Walsh.

The new Jumanji movie centers around an old video game (instead of a board game, like the book and 1st movie). The Rock and his crew are avatars for high school kids. Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan and NJ native Nick Jonas co-star. Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle is due in theaters in late December.

Proud Jersey Girl Erin Vogt’s first reporting gig involved her Fisher Price tape recorder. As a wife and momma of two kiddies, she firmly believes that life’s too short to drink bad coffee. A fan of the beach, Dave Grohl and karma, in no particular order.
