What are the most expensive countries to live in?
You may think the United States would be near or at the top of any list that involved the most expensive countries to live in but surprisingly, they are not.
Out of the costliest countries to live in, the U.S. doesn't even make the top 20. As New Jerseyans are well aware, especially if you're a property owner, that the cost of living in the Garden State is anything but cheap.
The rankings are from a website called Movehub. To keep this honest, the site does not take into account the cost of living for specific areas within a country, most notably for us, the cost of living in New Jersey.
Movehub calculated its data against a base of 100 which reflects the cost of living in New York City.
