The fate of the unsold Christmas tree
There were rows of festive, fluffy Christmas trees here, not an hour ago. What happened? Where did all those trees go?

The smell of fresh pine trees hangs in the air. But, there are no longer any trees at this roadside stand!
Which gets me to wondering: What happens to a Christmas tree that isn't bought, wrapped for transport, rushed home on top of the family minivan, and then lovingly adorned with bright lights, heirloom decorations, and maybe even some tinsel?

In other words, what is the fate of a Christmas tree that is not allowed to fulfill its purpose in life?!
WARNING: Defenseless Christmas trees were harmed (but not by me).
Young children may want to leave the room, or avert their eyes...
So sad.
