Polar Bear Plunge

The NJ Special Olympics is kicking off soon!

Last year, the island was like a giant street party in the hours leading up to the Plunge with vendors, a Wawa Food Truck, and of course, some liquid courage being passed around.

Well it's finally here, the 27th annual Polar Bear Plunge in Seaside Heights. With over 7000 brave souls taking the dip this weekend, I thought many of them could use a little something to warm themselves up.

I'm a big fan of the Little Sliver Crocs. It would be very easy just to bag it this year but they understand the importance of The Special Olympics in NJ

Normally this time of year my good friends at Special Olympics New Jersey are counting the proceeds from the tremendously successful Polar Bear Plunge that takes place each year in Seaside Heights..

I was saddened to hear that the 28th Polar Bear Plunge in Seaside Heights will be cancelling their in-person plunging this year.

Instead of "freezin' for a reason" in the cold Atlantic Ocean plungers can do wherever they can at home with a bucket of ice water or a super soaker.

It's time to get “freezin’ for a reason” once again to raise big money for Special Olympics NJ.
