Delaware State Police said Monday evening that a state resident, wanted for the repeated rape of an 11-year-old girl, may now be living somewhere in New Jersey.

Joseph R. Genitempo of Felton, Delaware, is being sought after the underage girl reported to her mother that the 34-year-old sexually molested her over a year and a half timeframe, beginning in August 2014, police said.

Police did not disclose where in New Jersey they believed Genitempo might be, or the nature of his relationship to the minor.

Authorities say anyone with information on Genitempo's whereabouts should contact Delaware State Police Detective W. Miller at 302-698-8435 or Delaware Crime Stoppers, 1-800-TIP-3333 and delaware.crimestoppersweb.com.
