There was something creepily talented about the Circus Psycho out at Six Flags Great Adventure's Fright Fest Friday night.

"Jersey girl" Jax, having just finished the "American Idols LIVE! Tour" went undercover among the ghoulish and undead and embraced her darker side as a zombie clown.

“Halloween is my favorite time of the year, so this is really awesome for me,” Jax said. “I love scary movies. I’m a huge Walking Dead fan.”

Jax, the third-place winner in the 14th season of American Idol and East Brunswick singer/songwriter underwent a complete transformation that began with a latex prosthetic, air brush makeup and intricate hand painting by Tony Mandile, Fright Fest’s supervisor of effects, according to Great Adventure. She then donned a custom clown costume and wig by designer Sarah Dawson.

New Jersey 101.5's own Eric Scott recently sat in Mandile's chair himself — he became a zombie with a terrifying smile, an all-access press pass and vaguely Trump-like hair. Watch the whole transformation in just 60 seconds.

Jax was among 200 other horrific creatures: Demons, voodoo practitioners, evil doctors and nurses, zombie cowboys and mutants for the Awakening zombie parade to kick off the night’s festivities.

Her sinister clown alter ego found its home in the Circus Psycho section of the theme park, where startled passersby and posed for zombie selfies. The whole thing was captured for Jax's YouTube channel (and graciously provided by Six Flags for New Jersey 101.5's use).

Fright Fest wraps Nov. 1 — Six Flags says it's been the "biggest, scariest" version of the annual festival in its history, with 22 Halloween-themed attractions including three new haunts and five new shows. The seven-week festival features family-friendly Thrills by Day and a zombie-filled Fright by Night, and, the park says, "includes admission to  some of the world’s best and most terrifying thrill rides."

Great Adventure will also be open for fall bonus days Nov. 6, 7 and 8 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Some rides and sections will be closed, but signature rides including Nitro, Kingda Ka and El Toro will remain open.

So how did Jax do?
