SPRINGFIELD (Union) — A man who pleaded guilty to child porn charges more than a decade ago is facing similar charges after, authorities say, he continued to download more illegal material.

Sam Cynamon, 66, is charged with one count of possession of child pornography. Acting U.S. Attorney William E. Fitzpatrick said he used a peer-to-peer network to get a video of a young girl engaging in sexual conduct. Fitzpatrick said Cynamon requested the video in January. On July 10 computers and other electronic storage devices were obtained from his home, authorities said.

A search of the equipment revealed file sharing software as well as images and videos of child pornography, including pictures of sexual abuse, Fitzpatrick said.

Cynamon was sentenced to 27 months in prison after his plea in 2005. Because of his previous conviction he faces a minimum of 10 years and a maximum of 20 years in prison and a fine of $250,000.
