While not illegal, NJ police officers are still handing out tickets to NJ drivers for flashing their high beams. One NJ legislator is trying to amend that.

Assemblyman Ron Dancer is looking into clarifying the current law that authorities are currently using to ticket drivers. Drivers who are currently getting summonses under the statute of improper use of multiple beam headlights. Under Dancer's legislation, it would clarify the statute and make it perfectly legal for a driver to flash their headlights to oncoming traffic for any reason whatsoever.
