Little over a month after posting a New Jersey motel room video that alarmed fans and police, Sinead O'Connor seems to be on a path to recovery. The long-troubled Irish singer has taped an in-depth interview with TV personality Dr. Phil and is intent on giving herself a 'fresh start.'

The exclusive sit-down covers O'Connor's abuse allegations against her late mother and history struggling with mental illness. It's the first episode of Phil McGraw's 16th season, premiering on Tuesday, September 12.

Ahead of the Dr. Phil episode airing, O'Connor has given fans an update on social media, including her new identity. With her Facebook profile now bearing the name 'Magda Davitt', she shared a song called 'Eight Good Reasons'. She writes "This is for Dr Phil. The eight good reasons are my four children's eyes. The ninth is my grandson. And now for some reason I'm feeling in my blood that one of my children is having a baby girl. I hope I'm right!!!!! So that makes ten good reasons."

Davitt (formerly O'Connor) added the hashtag, "No More Rock And Roll Suicides."

Dr. Phil also recently previewed his own season premiere, with a skeptical Jimmy Kimmel on his late night talk show.

Proud Jersey Girl Erin Vogt’s first reporting gig involved her Fisher Price tape recorder. As a wife and momma of two kiddies, she firmly believes that life’s too short to drink bad coffee. A fan of the beach, Dave Grohl and karma, in no particular order.
