Police: Elderly Woman Killed in Paulsboro Home

Authorities are looking for at least one person in the slaying of a 79-year-old woman found dead inside her southern New Jersey home.

Gloucester County prosecutors say the body of Thriza Sweeten was found Monday night in the Paulsboro home where she lived alone.

Sweeten's daughter made the discovery when she went to check on her mother around 6 p.m..

Sweeten was last seen alive around 11 p.m. Sunday. Authorities say she suffered multiple injuries, but further details were not disclosed and the cause of death remains under investigation.

Descriptions of the person -- or persons -- being sought in the case were not disclosed Tuesday afternoon.
