A great cause, and a gorgeous day can only add up to one thing — smiles everywhere.

Big Joe Henry's been keeping the thousands of people flowing into Seaside Heights company, broadcasting from the Spicy Cantina as the crowds get ready to head into the ocean for the Polar Plunge.

As of 11 a.m., the event had already raised more than $1.5 million to benefit Special Olympics of New Jersey, with a goal set of $1.7 million. More than 5,000 people had registered.

Can't make it? You're missing a lot of fun. But it's not too late to donate online. And keep an eye on New Jersey 101.5 for more photos and videos as the event goes on.
