Picatinny Arsenal explosion injures two civilians
An explosion has injured two Army civilian employees at the Picatinny Arsenal in Morris County.
The Army says the accident happened around 11 a .m. Wednesday. It says the employees are explosives technicians who were performing an operation on an explosive device.
One employee was taken by helicopter to a hospital, while the other was driven there by ambulance. The injuries are not considered life-threatening, but further details were not immediately disclosed.
The incident is under investigation, and explosive ordnance disposal technicians were clearing the scene of the explosion.
