PATH service resumes following investigation of suspicious package
A suspicious package led to the Journal Square PATH station in Jersey City to be closed for a time early Tuesday afternoon
Port Authority of New York and New Jersey police spokesman Joe Pentangelo told New Jersey 101.5 the package was found aboard a train just after noon on Tuesday afternoon. The Jersey City Police Bomb Squad is investigating the package to determine if it is a threat.
Service resumed around 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
Service had been suspended between on the Newark-World Trade Center line and the Journal Square-33rd Street lines during the investigation.
