There were a couple of high temperature records yesterday.

Trenton smashed the old record of 76 set in 1918, when they reached 79.  Newark-Liberty Airport set the record set just a few years ago of 73 set in 2010, when they reached 77 yesterday afternoon.  Suffice to say, it was 5 or 6 warmers than what I had predicted for Monday.

Well, we start with some fog and some of it pretty thick for a while this morning.  It may last all morning long, especially at the shore, before giving way to partly cloudy skies and just the chance of a shower later with temperatures back in the 70s and cooler at the ocean.

Dense fog may re-develop in places tonight with temperatures in the mid to upper 40s in spots, but mid to upper 50s in urban and coastal areas.

Foggy to start tomorrow, then clouds slowly break for some sunshine with highs back in the 70s away from the ocean.

Early fog Thursday, then some sunshine with highs from 75 to perhaps 80, but still cooler near the beach and the boardwalk.

Cooler weather will come in over the weekend, where we may have rain, at some point.
