One dead, after being ejected from car in Route 4 crash

Authorities say a crash on a northern New Jersey highway has left one person dead and another injured.

The one-car accident occurred shortly after 3 a.m. Saturday on a stretch of westbound Route 4 in Englewood.

The Bergen County Sheriff's Office says the person killed in the crash was ejected from the vehicle. The injured person was being treated at a hospital, but further details on that person's condition were not disclosed.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
