So this is the event that New Jerseyans wait for all year! (Kidding. Nobody really ever waits for it--hardly anybody cares.) But I figured I tell you about it anyway.

It's the Class of 2016 induction ceremony for the New Jersey Hall of Fame. The big ceremony takes place this Sunday, May 7 at Convention Hall in Asbury Park.

While I fully intend to give you the list of this year's actual inductees, I will also share with you the opinions of our listeners regarding who should have made the list. First, here are the actual inductees. Then stay tuned for the New Jersey 101.5 version of the New Jersey Hall of Fame.

  • Philip Kearny - United States Army officer
