We are watching the arrival of a one-two punch from the latest nor'easter

School board members sat silent behind a long table on stage inside the Lacey High School auditorium Monday night, as dozens of irate parents barraged them with questions about a controversial gun policy that banned kids from even handling a gun off school grounds.

In Carteret, dozens of people were able to obtain gun permits without going through mental health and criminal background checks as required by New Jersey law.

Gov. Phil Murphy's proposed state budget calls for tax hikes for millionaires, some corporations, people who use Uber, and there is also a plan for a small increase in the state sales tax — but the governor insists he's looking out for the little guy.
