2014 Breast Cancer Events and Walks in New Jersey

This October, we recognize the millions of women affected by breast cancer for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Here are a list of walks and other events happening in New Jersey that raise money towards research for a cure for Breast Cancer.

21st Annual Susan G. Komen Central and South Jersey Race for the Cure

You can preregister at Dick's Sporting Goods in Princeton on Friday, October 3rd from 11 am - 2 pm & 4 pm - 7 pm, and on Saturday, October 4th at Dick's Sporting Goods in Freehold from 11 am - 2 pm. On site registration is also welcome on Sunday, October 5th at 7 am.

15th Annual Komen NJ Golf for the Cure
Atlantic City Country Club
1 Leo Fraser Dr., Nortfield
Monday, October 13th

Events include lunch from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm, a putting contest at 11 am, shotgun start at 12:30 pm, and awards, buffet dinner and cocktail reception at 5:30 pm.

A Taste of Pier Village

The event begins at McLoone's Pier House
1 Ocean Avenue, Long Branch
Friday, October 17th
6:30 pm - 9:30 pm

The event starts at McLoone's Pier House, and guests will be able to browse participating restaurants for a cocktail and a small treat. Tickets are $75.

The Pier Village Pooch Party

Festival Plaza in Pier Village
Saturday, October 25th
11 am - 2 pm

Dogs and their owners can come out for fun games, contests, and prizes. There will also be a contest for 'pinkest pooch' - dress your dog in pink for Breast Cancer Awareness. Tickets are $15.

4th Annual Ride for the Cure

The Horse Park of NJ
626 Rt. 524, Allentown
Sunday, October 19th

A maximum of 150 riders can attend the event, and riders must raise at least $250 to participate. For more information, click here or call 609-896-1201.

Lexus of Cherry Hill 4K Walk for the Cure

Registration opens at 9:30 am

You can preregister until October 15th for $25 per adult and $10 per child 12 and under. Walkers who wish to register onsite on October 19th will pay $30 per adult, and $10 per child 12 and under. Registration opens at 9:30 am, opening ceremonies begin at 10:45 am, and the walk kicks off at 11 am.
