Judi hangs with the boys and learns how to roll cigars
Last week I had the opportunity to attend a fundraiser that was largely geared toward men. It was a backgammon tournament with all the man cave staples: Great liquor, great barbecue and great cigars.
Hundreds of guys with a couple of women sprinkled in. As you might imagine I had an awesome time there! What girl wouldn't?
But one of the highlights of the evening was meeting a man named Tony, who practices a very old-fashioned art: rolling cigars.
We didn't even have to import him from Cuba! He does it right here in New Jersey.
I thought there might be an exotic name for a guy who rolls cigars, but I Googled and googled and believe it or not all I can come up with is "cigar maker."
I had never seen it done before, but I found it fascinating, so I hope you will too.
