If You Want to Smuggle a Cell Phone into Prison, Don’t Use a Pigeon

You have to admire their initiative. Some criminals in Brazil tried to smuggle a cell phone into a prison using a pigeon. According to Orange News, the pigeon got off to a good start, clearing the prison wall with ease, but then the weight of the phone became too much and the pigeon plummeted to the ground right at the feet of a prison guard.

Officers rushed outside and found the inmate's girlfriend and accomplice with another pigeon. It had a "birdie backpack" attached to its wings filled with chips, cash and a battery. The two were charged with attempted smuggling and cruelty to animals.
