Nothing pulls at your heart strings more than a child suffering from illness.

As you've heard me talk about for years on the air, we try to do our part in stepping up and helping our friends at Make-A-Wish New Jersey with the task of bringing a little light into very challenging circumstances facing thousands of families every year. My wife Jodi and I were honored to be a part of the annual "Walk for Wishes" last weekend where we met some very special people.

One of the most impactful meetings we had was with Suzanne who's daughter Olivia suffers from a rare disease called Cranialfacial disorder. Suzanne and the executive director of the Cranialfacial Association, Erica Mossholder joined me this morning on the air to discuss how our listeners can help. Right now the group is asking people to text CCAkids to 91999 to receive a donation link. Pledge whatever you can, every dollar help's in the fight to defeat this terrible disease.

I really want to thank my friend Tom Weatherall from Make-A-Wish NJ for making the introduction.

Bill Spadea is on the air weekdays from 6 to 10 a.m., talkin’ Jersey, taking your calls at 1-800-283-1015. Tweet him @NJ1015 or @BillSpadea.
