The latest in Sayreville - For freshman football players...it must have been terrifying.  The lights in the locker room would go out.  Someone would make a wolf call. The younger player pinned to the ground, then stood up while an upperclassmen forced a finger into his rectum.  The same finger was often pushed into the freshman's mouth.

This is what prosecutors are investigating and not just one case, but many.  As the first detailed accounts of this hazing -- which amounts to sexual abuse if not rape, are appalling.

Players told the school board they knew nothing of this.  Most don't believe that.  Secret recordings from the Superintendent's private meeting with parents show Richard Labbe denying anyone at the school knew it was going on...

NJ advance media obtained those recordings.  That was the same meeting where Labbe announced the football season was over....

Prosecutors now have a lot of work to do. They will have to sort out who did what and more importantly who knew what and when.  Some of the students that may be charged are 18, adults in the eyes of the law and facing serious jail time. The investigation is likely to take weeks, if not months. Meanwhile, the school is in recovery mode, offering assistance and the promise of safety to anyone who may need it.

West Africans living in New Jersey are taking steps to prevent Ebola from coming here. A delay in diagnosing and treating a Liberian man who died from Ebola Wednesday in Texas is raising worries about the ability to stop the disease. During a teleconference with mayors and local officials, president Obama said, "as we saw in Dallas, we don't have a lot of margin for error." the first time an ill Thomas Eric Duncan went to a Dallas hospital, he was turned away.

Parents react to Sayreville scandal- As the Sayreville hazing scandal evolves into a sexual assault investigation that has cancelled the football season, a group of parents are considering suing the district.  Not because of the players conduct, but because their kids may miss out on lucrative college scholarships.  Sayreville is a football powerhouse, producing top college players around the country.

Penn state officials say they are watching this closely.  Star running back Myles Hartsfield has committed to play at the university.

The sponsor of jersey's anti-bullying law is stunned at the events unfolding in Sayreville.
