Police are crediting the superintendent of the New Jersey State Police with helping make an arrest after a tractor-trailer was stolen.

Col. Rick Fuentes joined the pursuit after hearing on his radio that troopers and police were chasing the truck in Linden on Wednesday night.

Police say Fuentes and the other officers converged on Rosedale Cemetery, where three suspects bailed out.

State Police spokesman Trooper Christopher Kay tells The Home News Tribune of East Brunswick (http://mycj.co/zt9oXm ) Fuentes located the driver and was assisted by other troopers in arresting Hector Dipre.

The 22-year-old Union City resident and two others are each held on $1 million bail, charged with theft, resisting arrest and criminal mischief.

The trailer contained powdered protein valued at $9,000.

No one was injured.
