UPDATE: Police said the boy reported missing Saturday morning in East Brunswick was safely located.

"The East Brunswick Police Department would like to thank the public and news media outlets who assisted us in locating the child," police said in a statement posted at 12:19 p.m.

EAST BRUNSWICK — Police are looking for a 12-year-old boy who went missing on Saturday morning after spending the night at a friend's house.

Gavin Seaver was last seen at his friend's home on Milltown Road wearing a Misfits baseball shirt, dark shorts, white Nike sneakers, and a black Adidas backpack, according to East Brunswick Police.

Police said he got up early and left the house before anyone else got up.

Seaver stands 5-foot, 5-inches tall and weighs 120 pounds. He has blond hair and blue eyes.

Police asked anyone with information on Seaver's whereabouts to call them at 732-390-6900.
