Jersey Freeze raising funds for Colts Neck teen with brain cancer

Gavin Manasso is your typical Jersey boy. A sophomore at Colts Neck High School, a player on the boys lacrosse team, and, according to friends, he shows kindness, determination, and strength to everyone around him.

He’s going to need that determination and strength more than ever before, and his family could use your kindness.

The 16-year-old Colts Neck student was recently diagnosed with brain cancer. His family now faces the overwhelming costs and challenges that come with treatment.

Not only has a GoFundMe been set up by Noah Milewski, one of Gavin’s friends, but one of Central Jersey’s iconic ice cream franchises is setting up an entire day to donate portions of their sales to go to the family.

Why you should go to Jersey Freeze on July 15th, 2026

On Wednesday, July 15, 2026, every Jersey Freeze location will be coming together to support Gavin Manasso and his family as they fight against brain cancer.

According to a post on the shop’s Instagram page they will be donating 25% of all sales on the 15th directly to Gavin and his family to “help ease the burden and let them know they’re not fighting this battle alone.”

Jersey Freeze has three locations:

🍦 120 Manalapan Ave (Rt 9 & Rt 33) in Freehold, NJ
🍦 101 Crawfords Corner Road in Holmdel, NJ (Bell Works)
🍦 340 US-34 - Orchards in Colts Neck, NJ

As the owners put it: pack their stores, spread the word, and show Gavin and his family just how many people are standing behind them. The fundraiser is going on all day.
