Fogo de Chão's New Jersey locations and what's coming next

The popular Brazilian restaurant, Fogo de Chão, is expanding in the New Jersey, with the announcement that it is coming to Monmouth County.

First formed overseas in the countryside of Porto Alegre in the ‘70s, Fogo de Chão became so popular with American guests that they came to the states to open a restaurant in Texas in 1997.

They are known for serving grilled, seasoned meats that are cooked churrasco-style on skewers and then carved right at the table by skilled gaucho chefs.

You can also enjoy chicken, lamb, pork, seafood, salads, side dishes, desserts, and cocktails.

The company made their first footstep in the Garden State in 2024 at Westfield Garden State Plaza in Paramus.

The chain then added restaurants at Willowbrook Mall in Wayne and Bridgewater Commons in Bridgewater, NJ.

Soon, we can expect to see one in the Freehold Raceway Mall off of route 9 in Freehold, NJ.

Fogo de Chão plans new restaurants in New Jersey

It has also been reported that they aim to open in Cherry Hill and Princeton, but no further details were released.

Fogo de Chão will be in the outdoor area of the Freehold Raceway Mall by the center court entrance. An opening date has not yet been announced.

Most visited restaurants and diners in Monmouth County, NJ

These establishments logged the most visits in Monmouth County last year.

The data — from May 2025 to May 2026 — comes from Townsquare partner Placer.Ai, which uses foot traffic, real estate and other location-based data for trend analysis.
