ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS — Five people out for a boat ride on Memorial Day Weekend were brought into the harbor safely after the outboard engine on their craft had failed.

The United States Coast Guard said a crew from Coast Guard Station Sandy Hook saw the boat drifting near submerged pilings at the Atlantic Highlands Marina and were able to attach a towline to the boat and bring them safely into the marina.

According to the Coast Guard there were no injuries reported, and no damage to the boat after being towed in.
