Attorney General Christopher Porrino stopped by the Friendship Baptist Church to announce $1 million is being spent on an ad campaign to teach people how to act in a traffic stop so they don't get shot. It wasn't exactly in those words, but that's exactly what it means.

Keep your hands on the wheel, turn on the light, don't make sudden movements, etc.. We took calls on this Thursday and the reaction was mixed. Even though the million bucks is coming from criminal forfeiture funds a lot of people thought the ads would be a waste of time and the money, while just a drop in the overall scheme of state budgets, could be better spent. Others thought the ads were necessary yet felt it was a shame that they were.

Several people emailed the show pointing out how this public service ad had already been done years ago and that we could use it to save $1 million. Check out this Chris Rock video, which is most definitely not safe for work or near the young or easily offended, and see if you agree. This might be more effective than anything Porrino can dream up.
