When I think of Anheuser-Busch I always think of the plant on Route 1 between Elizabeth and Newark Airport. Growing up in Union County that whole corridor was always stench central with the factories, jet fuel, chemical plants, and of course that curious yeast smell from the brewery.

Don't get me wrong though. I'm a fan. My taste in beer is simple, and I grew up with Budweiser having enjoyed it before I really should have. Budweiser is a great beer and they make great Super Bowl commercials every year. This year is no exception.

In a year when immigration is a hot topic especially with Trump's travel restrictions so recently imposed, it so happens that one of the Budweiser ads is all about immigration. It shows the story in a one minute ad of Adolphus Busch's rough journey from Germany to St. Louis, Missouri in 1857 and the meeting with Eberhard Anheuser. It ends with the line, "When nothing stops your dream, this is the beer we drink." It was released in advance to YouTube this week. Check it out and be prepared to get a bit choked up as an American.
