Baseball legend and Pequannock native Derek Jeter is set to have his jersey number immortalized forever this weekend when the Yankees retire No. 2 prior to the game on Mother's Day. Few athletes have ever been more beloved than Jeter, especially here in the tri-state area. He was the face of an entire era of New York sports, and now that his playing days are over, you realize just how special his presence was.

Budweiser perfectly captured the amount of love and respect Derek Jeter continues to receive to this day. There will never be another Derek Jeter, and I'm okay with that. And yes, I will be crying like a baby during the ceremony on Sunday.
