Two killed as car speeds off Paramus highway into parking lot
PARAMUS — Two people were were killed and two others seriously injured in a violent crash on Route 4 early Sunday morning.
All four occupants of a 2001 Ford Mustang were ejected after it ran off Route 4 eastbound between Spring Valley Rd and Forest Ave, flipped several times and came to rest in the parking lot of the Bergen Town Center, according to Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir Grewal
A 19-year-old woman from Garfield was declared dead at the scene of the crash. Three other women believed to be in their twenties from Garfield were taken to Hackensack University Medical Center where one of them died. A 23-year-old Paterson man was treated and released.
Grewal did not disclose the identities of anyone in the car or who was driving. The prosecutor said no motor vehicle or criminal charges have yet been filed.

Route 4 eastbound was closed to traffic for most of the night in that area with one lane reopened for traffic around 8 a.m.
