Another fetus found at a New Jersey sewage facility
BAYONNE — Police in New Jersey have opened an investigation after workers discovered a fetus at a water pumping station.
WABC-TV reports plant workers found the fetus while screening waste water at a SUEZ pumping station in Bayonne. The workers immediately called police after the discovery.
The Bayonne plant pumps water out of the city to another contractor that treats it. A spokeswoman for SUEZ says the company is cooperating fully with police.
Police continue to investigate.
This is the latest report of a find of human remains at a New Jersey water-treatment facility this year.
In March, workers reported found two fetuses weeks apart at the Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission’s facility in Newark.
