4 NJ teens accused of recording themselves raping drunk girl get probation

ELMWOOD PARK — Four teens accused of using a cellphone to film themselves having sex with a highly intoxicated 15-year-old girl have been sentenced to probation.

The teens initially faced first-degree aggravated sexual assault charges stemming from the June 2014 incident in the backyard of an Elmwood Park home. One also was charged with manufacturing child pornography.

But all four eventually pleaded guilty to reduced charges of abuse and neglect of a child. They were all sentenced on Friday.

The investigation had started after the girl was found unconscious by her parents on the front lawn of her home. They called police after the girl said she believed she had sex with several men.
