Jim Gearhart has never liked political correctness.

"I loathe it. I abominate it. I excoriate it. I abhor it," he says in the latest edition of the Jim Gearhart Show podcast, every Thursday on iTunes, Google Play and the New Jersey 101.5 app.

He couldn't believe the story of protestors shouting down Gov. Chris Christie (and Christie shouting back) as he tried to celebrate the opening of a drug and alcohol-treatment facility.

"These were not a bunch of college kids or wild people, you know with the long, frizzy hair and the spiked heads and the like," Jim says. "These looked like perfectly nice, respectable suburban house fraus and their consorts, and they're yelling and screaming."

But protests of that type just don't work, Jim says: "I go back to a time when getting in your face was a phrase that indicating eating."

He's got another suggestion, one he picked up from the old Russian army. Just don't be surprised if it leaves your backside vulnerable to arrows.

That's just part of the latest installment of the Jim Gearhart Podcast, available every week on New Jersey 101.5 and in the New Jersey 101.5 app. You can also subscribe with your favorite podcasting app for iPhones, Android devices or your computer:
