LINDEN — A 32-year-old woman faces DWI charges after police said she hit a utility pole early Saturday morning.
Katherine Flores of Elizabeth's Toyota Camry overturned after she hit the pole on St. George Avenue (Route 27) near Ainsworth Avenue just before 4 a.m. according to Linden Police.
After the accident Flores was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, careless driving, possession of an open container of alcohol, and driving with a suspended license.
Police said other drivers stopped to help Flores get out of her car. She was treated for minor injuries and released from a hospital. She was then released from police custody pending a court appearance on Monday.
