This list has changed for me a few times in my life, and for good reason!

When I was a kid, my idol was New York Yankees closer Mariano Rivera. I received one of the best Christmas gifts ever from my mom during my sophomore year of high school. She gave my grandpa and me tickets to an exclusive dinner and Q&A with Rivera. We spent upward of three hours in a restaurant with my idol, and it was everything I could have hoped for and more.

One of the reasons I continue to hold Rivera in such high regard is the way he carries himself and his willingness to give back to the community and less fortunate.

Fast forward a decade or so to late September of 2016. A musician I grew an enormous appreciation for in my teenage years and early 20s, Bruce Springsteen, was doing a book-signing at the Barnes & Noble near my house in Freehold. There was no way I was missing this! Sure enough, he was just as personable of a guy as I expected. Sure, we only had a few moments to talk as opposed to a few hours like I had with Rivera, but being able to speak to the person whose music I connected with more than anyone else was an experience I'll never forget.

Who is the one celebrity you would love to meet? And what would you say to them if given the opportunity? Tell us in the comments below or Tweet it to us @NJ1015.

This weekend, my godson is getting a chance to meet his current favorite Yankee, Gary Sanchez. He's an even bigger Yankee fan than I was at his age, and he's told me for weeks now that he can't wait to ask Gary Sanchez about who his best friend is on the team. Something so simple can make a kid's entire year. I know how I felt when I met Mariano Rivera as a kid. I had butterflies, but I was so excited. And once it happened, nothing could get me down.

New Jersey 101.5 is actually giving away tickets to meet Sanchez at iPlay America — but you've got to act fast. This 24-hour contest only runs until 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 11.
