And a second project calls for "corporate offices and potential academic use" at a 14-acre site on nearby Albany Avenue.

The Press of Atlantic City reports that the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority green-lighted both proposals Monday.

The complex at the former Atlantic Club Casino Hotel will also include roughly 800 hotel rooms. The Atlantic Club closed in January 2014.

The second project is the first undertaking of AC Devco, a recently formed nonprofit aimed at accelerating development in the city. It's funded by the CRDA.

Mayor Don Guardian wouldn't say whether Stockton University wants to open a facility on that site. The school has long sought a satellite campus in the city.
