The governor came under criticism for taking only "on topic" questions following his announcement of Superior Court Judge David Bauman as a nominee to the state Supreme Court. He has also been under fire for his endorsement of Donald Trump in the presidential race with the Gannett newspapers of New Jersey and the Star Ledger calling for his resignation from office.
