There's foul play on the field — and then there's just being foul on the field.

A 25-year-old from Connecticut is facing several charges after running onto the Metlife MetLife Stadium field Sunday night in 49ers Jersey and scuffling with the security personnel and state police officers who removed him.

In videos from the incident — including one captured by New Jersey 101.5's own Matthew White, who was watching the game from the stands (White's video is above) — Atwood is seen running onto the field in the third quarter from the north end zone and heading right for the Giants sideline.

Around the 30-yard-line, security took him down.

But Atwood didn't go down quietly. It appears in the videos he headbutted a State Police officer.

NJ.com reports he's facing several charges — third-degree resisting arrest, fourth-degree obstruction, fourth-degree throwing of bodily fluids and trespassing. New Jersey 101.5 was unable to reach State Police Monday morning for comment on whether any officers or security personnel were injured in the incident.

According to the NJ.com report, after Atwood was taken inside the tunnel to in-house police station and booked, He was later released to his mother.
