Toms River Police are asking for the public's help in locating a male suspect who allegedly robbed a TD Bank Monday afternoon.

On Monday at 4:40 p.m. Officer Michael Macdonald and other police units responded to the TD Bank located at 10 Mule Road for a report of a bank robbery. The suspect, identified as a while male, wearing sunglasses and a black pea coat, filled out a bank slip at the reception counter and then presented it to the teller.

"The note demanded money. He received an undetermined amount of cash and then fled the scene in a westerly direction on foot," police said in a press release Monday night.

Authorities including units from the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department Criminal Crime Scene Investigative Unit, Ocean County Prosecutors Office and the the FBI are assisting the Toms River Criminal Investigation Division in attempting to locate the suspect.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact Toms River Police via Facebook private message or call Detective Louis Santora at 732-349-0150 ext. 1276.
