How hit show ‘This Is Us’ is connected to NJ — NO spoilers, scout’s honor!
NO Spoilers, here, folks! As a devout 'This Is Us' fan, I had to share a few NJ connections embedded in the smash hit NBC show. Want to vent/react/commiserate with fellow NJ fans? You can tweet me @ProudJerseyand at @NJ1015!
First, the cast includes New Jersey native, Ron Cephas Jones. The Paterson native who plays William (Randall's biological dad) graduated John F. Kennedy High School and then attended Ramapo College in Mahwah. Jones also has had recent roles in 'Mr. Robot' & 'Luke Cage'.
New Jersey also happens to be a backdrop for the Pearson family's current timeline (despite being filmed in California). Sterling K. Brown's on-screen family lives in a 'McMansion in New Jersey' as the show's executive producer has put it.

Former Miss New Jersey Brielle LaCosta puts her love for the show into perspective:
And, former Giants football pro and fan favorite, Justin Tuck also has a request:
Turns out, this fake PSA from the cast from back in the Fall is going strong into the Spring:
Proud Jersey Girl Erin Vogt’s first reporting gig involved her Fisher Price tape recorder. As a wife and momma of two kiddies, she firmly believes that life’s too short to drink bad coffee. A fan of the beach, Dave Grohl and karma, in no particular order.
