Suspect Surrenderes in Jersey City Shooting

Authorities say a suspect has surrendered in a shooting that left a man dead near a Jersey City housing complex.

Hudson County prosecutors say 24-year-old Daquan Mixson turned himself in on Sunday. He's held on $1 million bail, charged with murder, aggravated assault and weapons charges.

Authorities say 21-year-old Darius Dashawn Redmon of Jersey City man was shot in the head late Friday night while he sat in a car in the area of the Booker T. Washington Housing Complex.

Authorities say three men drove Redmon to a police station, where officers performed CPR before he was taken to a hospital. He was pronounced dead there on Saturday night.
