Get Involved: Customers Pick a Charity to Support with the Subaru Share the Love Event
'Tis the season of giving, and Subaru and All American Subaru in Old Bridge have a fun way for you to give back this holiday season.
Through Jan. 3, they will donate $300 for every vehicle sold or leased and $5 for every routine service visit — and here's the fun part: You get to choose a charity from among several national charities or the hometown charity JAR of Hope, which is based in Asbury Park. If you're not familiar, JAR of Hope raises money and awareness in the fight against Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD).
JAR of Hope was founded after 4-year-old James Raffone, now 12, was diagnosed with DMD, and his parents, Jim and Karen, were determined to fight against a disease with no cure. Here's how JAR of Hope's website explains the condition:
DMD is a genetic disorder characterized by progressive muscle degeneration. It primarily affects boys, most of whom are wheelchair-bound by age 12. Many don't survive past their mid-twenties. Duchenne affects 300,000 boys worldwide; 20,000 children in the United States alone.
Donations to JAR of Hope support important research and families with loved ones living with DMD. Their work is both heart-wrenching and heart-warming, and every donation makes a difference.
In recent years, All American Subaru in Old Bridge has helped raise over $250,000 for charity, and you can help them continue that tradition if you're in the market for a vehicle or ready for a service visit. New vehicle orders count, too! Start 2022 in comfort and style, all while supporting key non-profits.
