Springtime is perfect for riding unicorns in New Jersey. Yes, unicorns!

Ask any parent of just about any little girl in the world if she likes unicorns and the answer is pretty unanimous. YES!

If you checked the playroom or toy closet of these kids, you'll find every iteration of unicorns on every kind of product imaginable. You'll see them on clothing, shoes and every cup or plate or anything that you can stamp a picture of a unicorn onto.

So, the thought of seeing and even riding a live unicorn is mind-blowing and yes it is possible in the Garden State. Just like the NJ Lottery commercial says, "anything can happen in Jersey."

The Red Valley Ranch in Millstone offers private unicorn rides. You can ride a unicorn for $10 per person, kids under two are free. The fee is in addition to the admission price of a visit to the Red Valley Ranch. You can dress her like a fairy tale princess and take all the photos you want.

The trend in New Jersey seems to be a back-to-nature ranch/farm theme entertainment for kids, and it's more popular than ever. There are directories to find one in your part of the state. The "agritainment" business is thriving in New Jersey and around the country.

Red Valley Ranch also offers a petting zoo, ranch walks with farm animals and what little kid doesn't want to hold a baby chick? And yes, they also offer regular horseback rides too.

The ranch is only open Thursday through Sunday, and they offer a summer ranch camp too. Some of the things offered to kids today is something we could have only dreamed about when we were young.
